Published requirement description

The Council's Vision 2030 strategy has the objective of all council buildings being decarbonised by 2030. Delivery will require access to specialist technical and construction capability as well as a significant capital investment to eliminate gas heating systems and make council buildings more energy efficient.

The appointment of the RE:FIT contractor is in line with the Council's Vision 2030 net zero strategy, which include a commitment to begin replacing gas boilers in Council buildings with electrical heating and to improve energy efficiency, as well as assessing the buildings' solar power capability.
