Privacy & Cookies

This notice explains what personal data Tenderline handles, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
The controller is Vivid Analytics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16555468), registered office 58 New Bedford Road, Luton, LU1 1SH. It operates Tenderline (tenderline.uk). Contact us at hello@tenderline.uk. For a request about your personal data, write to privacy@tenderline.uk.
2. Information we handle
Public procurement records. Public bodies publish procurement notices openly to ensure transparency in public spending, and release them for reuse under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Tenderline republishes this information from official UK portals such as Find a Tender. The records are mostly about organisations. They can include personal data, for example the name of a sole trader awarded a contract, or contact details an authority or a supplier published on a notice. We do not add contact details from other sources. Where a person's data should be shown differently, we change our own presentation of that record. The official notice remains publicly available at its source.
Information about your use of the site. Such as pages visited, how the site is used, the type of device and browser, approximate location and how you arrived. When you search, the words of your search are counted in aggregate statistics of what people look for: the totals are not linked to you, your device or your searches on other pages, and the switch in section 4 stops this counting like every other part of our statistics.
Information you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details to reply.
3. How we use it
- to support transparency in public spending through a searchable record of UK public procurement;
- to run, secure and improve the site, and understand how it is used;
- to respond to enquiries, corrections and requests.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): transparency of public spending, and operating and improving the service. We carry out a legitimate interests assessment for this use. We do not sell personal data.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We keep our own usage statistics, so we can see how the site is used and improve it. They are not shared with anyone. Your browser stores a random identifier so that we can tell a new visit from a returning one. We do not use advertising cookies. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and you can switch this off at any time:
5. Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run the site: hosting, content delivery and security (such as Cloudflare). Some of them may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards apply.
6. How long we keep it
Procurement records are part of the permanent public record of how public money is spent and are kept while we operate the service; corrections and withdrawals at the source are reflected when we next synchronise. Usage data is kept in identifiable form for no longer than 90 days and then only in aggregate; aggregate search-term statistics are kept for 180 days. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to deal with it.
7. Your rights
You can ask for access to your personal data, and ask us to correct, erase or restrict it, or object to its use (including under Article 21). Write to privacy@tenderline.uk; we reply within one month.
Our records exist to make public spending transparent: they show what public bodies buy, from whom and at what value, from official notices. The procurement facts stay on record, and a change on Tenderline does not alter the official notice: it remains publicly available on Find a Tender, the UK government's official procurement portal under the Procurement Act 2023, unless the authority that published it amends it.
If you are not happy with our answer, tell us and we will look at it again. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Changes
We may update this notice and will change the date at the top when we do. Our Terms of Use govern the rest of your use of the service.
