- Why no open competition
No tenders or no suitable tenders/requests to participate in response to restricted procedure; The products involved are manufactured purely for the purpose of research, experiment, study or development under the conditions stated in the directive
- Published justification
There was a competition in April 2023. There were no tender responses.
Following the failed competition we approached all interested parties were approached. One response was received stating that time frames stated in original competition were impossible but they did have a training aid that could be adapted to our requirements. In response the authority have concluded that a single source contract award is the only viable route to procurement.
