How this framework works

From the published notice
Bids received
4 bids on the busiest of 2 lots · 1 suppliers appointed

Lots and requirements (2)Procurement structure

2 lots · all with a published value · same evaluation weights on every lot

Every one of these 2 lots carries the same published figure, £500,000: it is the framework's maximum for the whole notice, not each lot's own budget, and no share per lot is published. The cards below say ceiling above rather than repeat it.

Lot #1East Ayrshire CouncilCancelledRenewalceiling above

1.1 To supplement the extensive voice and data wide area network infrastructure throughout East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council, there is an ongoing requirement to provide and maintain additional network and voice cabling within a number of new and existing Council properties. This also includes the replacement of legacy network cabling with a structured and more versatile solution.

1.2 Due to the nature of the work, the tenderer shall provide rates for each aspect of the work; this will include the provision of private ducts containing multi-core fibre and copper cable and installation of internal grade data cabling. Where new outlets are installed, or existing outlets relocated, the contractor shall provide test results.

1.3 Much of the work is reactive, therefore flexibility is essential.

Tenderers annual turnover must be twice the annual contract value of GBP 125,000p/a = minimum of GBP 250,000 annual turnover

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “East & South Ayrshire Network Cabling Framework” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
