Published requirement description

North Ayrshire Council requires to implement a framework agreement for the supply and delivery of UPVC door-sets (sub-standard sizes) and composite door-sets to enable Building Services to deliver the North Ayrshire Council Door Replacement Programme to NAC housing stock.

A maximum of 3 suppliers will be awarded onto each Lot.

The anticipated volumes required are;

-Lot 1 - UPVC doors (sub-standard sizes) – 6 door sets per week

-Lot 2 - Composite door sets – 26 door sets per week

Maximum lead times/delivery timescales are between 4-6 weeks from placement of Purchase Order to delivery.

This requirement is for a new 2-year contract with the option to extend for up to an additional 24 months, at North Ayrshire Council’s discretion. This contract is anticipated to commence early December 2022.

All products proposed must comply with the minimum British Standards noted within the Product Specification documents and must match the door type detailed. Any door-sets which do not meet these minimum standards will not be considered.

Bidders will be required to provide details of proposals in the form of manufacturers specification, product conformity certificates and sample(s) to enable us to assess against the minimum requirements.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 70 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 7 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “Framework Agreement for supply and delivery of UPVC and Composite…” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 6 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
