Authority: NHS Lanarkshire (NHS & healthcare)
What is being bought5 lots · detail below
Published requirement descriptionNHS Lanarkshire Health Board, a statutory body constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (“the Board”), wishes to put in place a framework for Reactive Grounds Maintenace including the provision of a Winter Service covering gritting and snow clearing in order to support NHS Lanarkshire’s in-house grounds maintenance team (“the Service”).
NHS Lanarkshire has an in-house grounds maintenance team that undertakes planned/routine and unplanned reactive/emergency grounds maintenance, winter gritting and snow clearing. During periods of adverse weather conditions and staff shortages/holiday periods the in-house team frequently require assistance to ensure that healthcare facilities throughout NHS Lanarkshire can continue to function. NHS Lanarkshire therefore wishes to establish a multi-supplier framework agreement for reactive grounds maintenance and winter services (gritting & snow clearing) across five geographical areas of the health board.
- Recurrence: A further contract notice may be published following the initial contract term or the conclusion of any extension periods.

- Quality/Technical: 30%
- price: 70%
Published award criteria (2)
- Quality/Technical: 30
- Price: 70
- Price carries 70 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 7 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
- “Framework for Grounds Maintenance, Snow Clearing and Winter Gritting…” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 15 suppliers, not a single contract.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
