What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionContract Award notice for the Non-digital support for ASK.
The ASK Programme, and this Service, continue to be key channels for the Fire it Up campaign, especially for activities aimed at young people and their influencers. Resources produced through this Service will carry key communication and messaging from the national campaign and will be adapted to make them more relevant for our schools` audience. Schools use these services as a reference to find out more about apprenticeships and employer vacancies.
Although the face-to-face services are successful in engaging with schools and teachers, the website and online resources provide additional support for schools/colleges who wish to find out more about apprenticeships. Schools who may not have engaged with the ASK Programme will have seen, and had access to, the resources that have been and will be developed as part of this contract.

- Change The Department for Education is extending the Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge programme for an additional 1 year of delivery (academic year 2024-25). The Department has taken this action in response to ongoing reviews into careers services for young people following the John Holman Review and the response of the Education Select Committee. There was a considerable risk to information, advice and guidance on apprenticeships and technical education not being available if the contracts had come to an end on 31 July 2024. As such in order to ensure that young people, their parents and teachers continue to have access to this support, we are extending the ASK programme for one more year, with a possibility of a further +1 year (academic year 2025-26) subject to funding. This ensures that this valuable service continues to be available to young people and their schools and colleges., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractors to ensure continuity of service to the same high level of quality. Current contractors have the structure, capacity and expertise to continue to deliver the service whilst the Department explores long-term proposals.
