(NU/1589-61) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Website Build
Authority: Newcastle University (Education)
What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionWe’ve identified the need to re-develop the current Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty website (www.ncl.ac.uk/hss/ ↗). The current site has become out of date and no longer reflects the vision, structure, strengths and breadth of activity taking place across the Faculty. The result is a site which no longer serves its purpose and meets the requirements of the Faculty Communications Strategy, which ultimately responds to the expectations set out in the Faculty’s strategic priorities.
As all the initial stages of the web development are being done in-house, the supplier is required to use the provided IA, wireframes and content developed in-house in order to build the new site in the latest version of our CMS.
CPV: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support

The University will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the
contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the
award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days,
provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the
contract is entered into.
The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015 No 102) provide for aggrieved parties who
have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High
Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) within 30 days of knowledge or constructive
knowledge of breach.
