- Why no open competition
The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator due to absence of competition for technical reasons
- Published justification
Clearly a requirement for the trust given the importance of secure fixings in the mental health hospital environment, no other solution provides non-contact, monitoring of vital signs via single securely fixed/installed optical sensor as a certified medical device.
Enabling clinicians to spot-check pulse rate and breathing rate observations without entering a patients room, thus improving vital signs monitoring in seclusion particularly post rapid-tranquilisation. The importance that the device is not connected to the patient were by they could harm themselves.
