The research will comprise of a mixed-methods approach consisting of:

  • A comprehensive literature review
  • Development of a taxonomy for peer checking
  • An interview study with industry experts and practitioners

Why no open competition

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator due to absence of competition for technical reasons

Published justification

Aberdeen University's Applied Psychology and Human Factors Research Group has secured partial funding from the Scottish Graduate School of Social Sciences (SGSSS), which will fund 50% of the PhD, with ONR funding the remaining 50%.

Securing the SGSSS funding also enables the PhD student to access wider support, training and linkage to other academics. This and the SGSSS award would not be available through other suppliers and therefore represents excellent value to ONR and award of contract via single tender.
