What is being bought

Published requirement description

Northern Gas Networks are seeking to establish a contract with a single supplier to provide circa 45-50 compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders weighing less than 25kgs (Single man lift) to its operational depots.

The CNG cylinders must meet the following mandatory criteria:-

Must be able to pick up and either refill or provide replacement cylinders as and when NGN consume the gas inside them
Must be able to provide regulators to enable NGN to monitor both gas flow (pressure being delivered from cylinders) and to show how much gas is remining in the cylinder
Must be able to service all NGN operational depots as an ongoing requirement
It would also be preferable, if the supplier had the facility to provide larger quantities of cylinders should NGN have a gas incident and want to use the technique in place of fan heaters and hot plates, but this is not essential.
