- Change Extension of contract by 12 months under Regulation 72 1 (c) given COVID restrictions impact on ability to re-tender with complete risk assessment information. This minimum extension period will allow sufficient time to carry out a robust risk assessments on sites and equipment to support a re-tender process planned late 2022/early 2023 to be in place before expiry of this extension period, Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: Extension required given inability to carry out risk assessments due to COVID restrictions and additionally, volatility of insurance market premiums as a result of lack of updated risk assessments. Risk assessments would have been undertaken in time to support a re-tendering process and are now being scheduled to support the re-tender for next year.
