Published justification

Early market research and engagement undertaken by the University highlighted that the supplier the the University intends to award to manufactures the equipment to be procured for research environments such as the University's Pharmacy and Biomedical Science department. The department seek to purchase the aforementioned equipment as part of grant funding awarded by Engineering and Physical Science Council (ESPRC). The supplier the University intends to award to holds a variety of patents for the equipment to be purchased. By contracting with the supplier the University will be able to assure the funding source that the equipment will add specialist intellectual property to the University's research not readily available in the market.
