What is being bought

Published requirement description

The programme aims to accelerate UK-Nigeria mutual economic growth by unlocking opportunities for private sector development. It will drive Nigeria’s economic transformation through investment and trade to generate jobs through two pathways: (i) facilitating immediate direct private investment and trade in high-potential non-oil sectors capitalising on existing opportunities, and (ii) strengthening the enabling environment by improving Nigeria’s business environment and investment conditions to support greater more sustainable business growth. These efforts will support Nigeria’s structural change and deeper integration into regional and global value chains, laying the foundation for diversified, sustainable and transformative growth, with benefits that are broad-based.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 30 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 3 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only for an Early Market Engagement (EME) for information to the market on FCDO’s UK-Nigeria Growth programme. The PIN is not a call for competition or tender at this time, it is an information notice to highlight to the market the intent to have an in-person EME event (with an option for a Virtual TEAMS dial-in) on Wednesday 21st January 2026, from 10.30am to 12 Midday Nigeria Time (GMT+1).

At the event, FCDO will present the programme and its proposed objectives as well as facilitate a discussion on the topics outlined in the presentation.

Further details concerning the event will be provided on the FCDO Portal in due course.

Please register for attendance for the EME via the guidance below, which is a separate requirement from registering interest on the FCDO supplier portal.

    How to register

If you are interested in attending this Early Market Engagement event, then please register via the form at: forms.office.com/e/GuCaaCiKQR ↗

Attendance in-person is encouraged where possible. It is not always possible to fully engage EME attendees who join online. However, an online TEAMS facility will be available.

Attendance in-person will be at the British High Commission, Diplomatic Drive in Abuja, Nigeria. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to allow for time to clear security. Please note that attendees will not be allowed to bring in phones or lap-tops into the BHC (however, the presentation slides will be shared after the event). Parking for visitors is limited so please consider being dropped off and then collected.
