The AQP Consultant-Led Community Ophthalmology services will be delivered to Leeds patients only and not across West Yorkshire.

The aims of the service are to provide a comprehensive Consultant-led Community Ophthalmology services and to provide a full local pathway for Leeds patients encompassing:

  • Clinical assessment and triage
  • Opinion and Advice for patients and referrers
  • Treatment and recovery where applicable
  • Discharge back to the appropriate level of care
  • Referral onwards only where appropriate

The service will also:

  • Offer patients a choice of locations and appointment times, ensuring equitable, timely, and appropriate access.
  • Ensure that patients are seen and treated in a safe environment most appropriate to their care needs.

Provide best value for money, delivering effective and sustainable use of resources.

Contract period: 1 Oct 2023 – 30 Sept 2024 (1 yr)
