What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 50 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 5 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “Fresh Fish and Seafood” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 10 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill at the point information on award of contract is communicated to tenderers. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved the public contract regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No 5) provide aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of harm by breach of the rules to action in the high court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly. Where a contract has been entered into the court may order the setting aside of the award decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award damages.
