How to bid on In-tend

Portal facts checked against the live portal in September 2026 · the notice always names the exact portal instance to use

In-tend is an electronic tendering system used by universities and colleges, city and county councils, emergency services, museums and hospices. Each buyer runs its own portal under a path on in-tendhost.co.uk (for example in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc), so suppliers register separately with every buyer they want to bid to.

Suppliers register once on the In-tend host portal or institution-specific sub-sites. You must express interest in the published tender to download specifications and submit responses before the deadline.

About this data
  • Source. Official UK public procurement notices (Find a Tender), reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0. New notices arrive through the day; the figures are rebuilt nightly.
  • What counts as In-tend. A notice whose submission link points to this portal, including buyer-specific instances (298 addresses so far). Award notices rarely publish that link, so the awards side is undercounted. Notices from 6 Jan 2021 to 25 Oct 2026.
  • Portal facts. Registration and login notes were checked on the live portal in September 2026. Portals change their sign-up steps; the notice’s own instructions take precedence.
  • Independent. Portal and operator names belong to their owners and appear only to show where notices are published; Tenderline is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any portal.
  • Every figure shows what it rests on. Not every notice publishes a bid count, a value or a delivery region, so each figure carries the number of records behind it, and one built on few records is marked as such. The on a figure explains it; the counting rules are in the methodology. Spotted something wrong? Tell us.
