What is being bought

Published requirement description

The London Borough of Havering, on behalf of various local authorities, has established a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of frozen foods and groceries. This framework will support members of the Procurement Across London (PAL) catering group, with participation open to additional London Boroughs.

Framework Scope: The framework will cover assorted frozen foods, groceries, and other essential food supplies required for in-house school catering services.

The contract value is an estimated value based on all members of PAL Catering Group estimated spend across the duration of the contract. This is a call off arrangement, there is no minimum financial commitment, and the actual cost will vary depending upon demand.

CPV: Assorted dairy products · Bread products, fresh pastry goods and cakes · Canned goods · Eggs · Food, beverages, tobacco and related products · Frozen fish products · Frozen vegetables · Soft drinks

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 70 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 7 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “Frozen Foods and Groceries Framework” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 3 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
