Published award criteria (1)
- Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents.: 30
- Price carries 30 of 30 points: a 10% discount moves about 3 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
- “Large Foam Making Equipment (Firefighting)” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 5 suppliers, not a single contract.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

Publisher note: GMCA would appreciate advice/guidance from providers regarding what we should expect as a standard lead time for the supply and delivery of this type of equipment especially with regards to the high volume, high pressure pumps in Lots 1 to 5. As part of the evaluation process, it is planned to include product demonstrations from shortlisted bidders, it is anticipated that these will be held during the summer/autumn 2021,(COVID-19 permitting).
