Published requirement description

Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of residual waste transfer services in East Lancashire.

The requirements have been split into four lots covering the four East Lancashire district areas of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, and Rossendale.

The Services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of Residual Waste arising from the Waste Collection Authority district area and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Waste Collection Authority, the Authority and/or their transport contractor(s).

  • The authority expects to re-tender this requirement around 24 Sept 2029, 23:59 BST.
  • No preliminary market engagement: A preliminary market engagement notice has been published (see OCID ocds-h6vhtk-05950c) . However, following market engagement the Authority has decided to publish two separate tenders which relate to the original pipeline and preliminary market engagement notices. The Find a Tender system appears to only allow one tender notice to be linked to an OCID, so the checkbox for this particular notice has had to be unchecked to allow for publication of this tender notice.
