What is being bought

Published requirement description

Buckinghamshire Council wishes to procure a provider to supply, deliver and install white goods to eligible Buckinghamshire residents which are experiencing hardship or crisis. The service also needs to include the disconnection and disposal of the resident’s current appliance, replacing it with new (where applicable). The scope of the agreement includes, but is not limited to the following: cookers, fridges, fridge-freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, microwaves, and air fryers. This list is not exhaustive. Please note that funding for local welfare support is discretionary and therefore we cannot commit to a minimum quantity of white goods required.

  • Quality: 60

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 40 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 4 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

Review procedure

The Council will incorporate a standstill period at the point when information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. The standstill period will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days and provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for the aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)
