Published requirement description

The Council's current demolition framework expires August 2026 and has provided significant benefits to the city since it was implemented. This placed Salford at the forefront of construction procurement best practice and have produced high quality developments, which have achieved national recognition.

The partnership arrangement this has led to:

  • Better value for money
  • Improved predictability of out-turn costs and time
  • Better design
  • Higher quality
  • Less defects
  • Improved Health and Safety including reduced accidents
  • Increased client and community satisfaction
  • Better whole life value

The above information has been used to maximise the opportunities available to the Council and develop proposals regarding new construction frameworks.

The Council has commissioned the Building Surveying & Facilities Management section of Salford City Council, who are responsible for the provision of construction, design and maintenance services to be responsible for the design, project and contract management of the framework.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “S1083 - Framework for Demolition and Associated Services” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract: call-offs may be direct or by further competition.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
