What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionOak National Academy has awarded a contract to Teacher Tapp for provision of two integrated research services: (1) a Brand Tracker Service providing triannual data on Oak's awareness, usage and advocacy among UK teachers, benchmarked against 20 education providers; and (2) on-demand ad hoc surveys using a unique digital panel of over 5,000 teachers to inform strategic priorities.
The supplier is the sole provider with access to the relevant methodology and longitudinal data necessary for continuity and comparability of results.
The contract was awarded under sections 42(1)(b) and 45(2)(b) of the Procurement Act 2023, on grounds that only one supplier could meet Oak's technical requirements and no reasonable substitute exists. Preliminary market engagement under section 16 confirmed the absence of viable alternatives.
The total contract value is £23,052 (inc. VAT), comprising £10,812 for the Brand Tracker and £12,240 for ad hoc survey activity. Services must be delivered between 2 June 2025 and 31 March 2026. The award notice is published in accordance with section 50 and regulation 28 of the Procurement Regulations 2024.

- The contract includes the right for Oak National Academy to commission additional teacher surveys on an ad hoc basis during the contract term, up to the maximum stated contract value (£23,052 inc. VAT). These surveys may be used in response to emerging organisational needs or research priorities. The timing, subject, and volume of these surveys will be agreed in writing between the parties during the contract period (2 June 2025 to 31 March 2026). No extension beyond this period is permitted, and the total spend will not exceed the approved contract value.
