The Council invited Tenders to provide Corporate Telephony, Supply, Support and Maintenance with Associated Services.
It is the Council’s intention that the Contract will commence from 1 August 2014 with the Solution to be fully implemented within three months of signature of the Contract. This is due to the expiration of the existing contract, and urgent business needs based on the Council’s technical development programme.

- Review procedure
Derbyshire County Council will incorporate a minimum
10 calendar day standstill period at the point
information on the award of contract is communicated
to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful
tenderers to seek further debriefing from the
contracting authority before the contract is entered
into. If an appeal regarding the award of contract has
not been successfully resolved, the Public Contracts
Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No.5) provide for
aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at
risk of harm by breach of the rules to take action in the
high court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
Publisher note: The recent Covid-19 pandemic has reinforced the need for the Council to have a soft telephony approach, rather than desk phones. To enable the transition from the VoIP solution to Microsoft Teams Telephony an extension to the existing contract was required. The move to a soft telephony solution will require significant work and a period of parallel running with the VoIP system will be required. Over the course of the next 12 months a further procurement will be concluded to meet future requirements.
