How this framework works

Framework period

3 yrs from 17 May 2025, It is recommended that the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, Regulation 33: (3) The term of a framework agreement shall not exceed 4 years, save in exceptional cases duly justified, in particular by the subject-matter of the framework agreement. A longer period allows the opportunity to secure fuel supply in advance.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “Biomass Boiler Operation, Maintenance and Fuel Supply” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 1 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
