How bids were scored
Quality: 40%Price: 60%
Published award criteria (2)
  • Price: Price will be evaluated based on a maximum of 60 marks (weighting - 60%) for the lowest priced compliant tender (subject always to the provisions noted above in relation to abnormally low tenders). Other tenders will be awarded a number of points in direct proportion to the relation between their tendered price and the lowest tendered price. The scores for all criteria will be totalled to give an overall score. The Council intends to select the supplier(s) with the highest overall score(s) as its successful supplier(s).
  • Quality: Quality award criteria will be assessed first (weighting - 40%). Where a tender does not meet the required minimum score/s or threshold in relation to the quality award criteria the tender will be deemed non-compliant and will be excluded from further evaluation.
What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
