Authority: London Borough of Bromley (Local council)
What is being bought5 lots · detail below
Published requirement descriptionMaintenance of the Council's tree stock which includes street trees, park trees and trees in conservation sites. The successful providers will work along side the Council's main arboricultural contractor.
The borough will be divided Areas (Lots) and suppliers can bid for 1 or more Areas but will only be awarded one Area.
The Council is also looking to establish a framework of providers to undertake work that can not be undertaken by either the main contractor or the Area provider. Providers who pass the quality thresholds set out in the tender documents but are unsuccessful at being awarded an Area, will be appointed to the Framework which will cover the whole borough OR suppliers may apply to be appointed to the Framework only.

5 lots · all with a published value · win at most 1 of them · evaluation weights differ by lotEvery one of these 5 lots carries the same published figure, £400,000: it is the framework's maximum for the whole notice, not each lot's own budget, and no share per lot is published. The cards below say ceiling above rather than repeat it.
Applies to lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
The London Borough of Bromley ('the Council') is inviting tenders for the provision of Arboricultural Maintenance Services to work alongside the Council's main Contractor to undertake the inspection and maintenance of the Council's tree stock.

How this buyer will score bids.
The evaluation criteria and weights exactly as published on the notice, grouped by family (price, quality, social value and so on).
Lots publish different evaluation splits; there is no single procedure weighting.
- Price carries 40–60 points depending on the lot; most lots put it at 60 points.
- “Delivery of London Borough of Bromley Arboricultural Services” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

Publisher note: Evaluation of the tender will be based on the CIPFA standing guide and in full compliance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015, the Council's Contract Procedure Rules and the stated criteria. Evaluation of the criteria for quality issues, etc. will also include the operation of minimum score thresholds. If a proposal received a score below the required threshold then the bid may not be considered further. The minimum acceptable score is a requirement to obtain at least half of the available points in any particular area. An indicative use of this model can be downloaded from the Council's website. Prospective contractors are advised that the documents issued at this time in conjunction with the Find a Tender Notice may be supplemented and/or amended as provided for in Regulation 53(6) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
