This framework will be available for use
by Trusts in East of England and
London regions, but the volumes for
these regions have not been included
for adjudication as part of the tender
process.
SEC Trusts can utilise this tender for
products or services not covered by the
National unlicensed aseptically
prepared cytotoxic medicines and
Dose banded compounded chemotherapy framework via MPSC.
Please note: we did not publish a
preliminary market engagement notice
(UK2) for the following reasons:
- we are not seeking to further develop
our requirements or procurement
approach.
- we have procured similar supply
arrangements via the Open procedure
and deployed similar conditions of
participation and award criteria. These
have yielded good results previously.
- we have already prepared our tender
pack (see attached), that detail
standard NHS contractual terms which
have been found to be acceptable to
the supply chain.
- we understand the likely suppliers
who will be interested but the open
notice approach gives opportunity to
others looking to enter the Dose banded compounded chemotherapy supply market
- The authority expects to re-tender this requirement around 6 Jul 2027, 23:59 BST.

How this framework works
From the published notice- Type
- Open framework
- Call-offs
- call-offs are awarded directly to appointed suppliers, without further competition
- Framework period
- 2 yrs from 31 Aug 2026
Who may buy through it
The ranked framework will be open to
the participating Trusts of the South
East Pharmacy Procurement Service
(SEPPS). See Contract Description.
Published description of the framework
The Contracting Authorities reserve the
right to maintain supply with the
incumbent Supplier to maintain
continuity of care for patients.
Framework call-off rules require the
highest ranked Supplier for each LOT
will be approached first to provide
Services. Only should the highest
ranked Supplier not be able to meet the
demand and provide an acceptable
product, will the next highest ranked
Supplier be approached.

- Price carries 35 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 3.5 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
- “Dose banded compounded chemotherapy” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract, and call-offs are awarded directly: getting appointed is the whole game.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
