What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionStaffordshire County Council has purchased a package for AV1 robots. This includes:
- 40 additional AV1 robots, increasing the deployable fleet to 80.
- Replacement of the older 40 AV1 robot units with newer models
- Backpacks for the AV1's.
- Courier delivery and collection, servicing and repair of the AV1's.
The package also includes the following support and training:
- In-person training for keyworkers
- Regular virtual surgeries for advice, case support and shared learning
- Staffordshire-specific webinar for school leaders, together with webinars for school staff and resources
- Dedicated school support through an administration portal.

No Isolation Limited is the only supplier able to provide a portable desktop device without an integrated two-way video monitor. The only alternatives models available have two-way video screens and wheeled formats, which are not felt to be appropriate to meet data-protection requirements, for usage with children and young people experiencing severe anxiety and to enable practical movement around school.

Local Government Reorganisation
a) On 16 July 2026, the Secretary of State confirmed the reorganisation of local government in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent into two new unitary authorities comprising:
i. a North Staffordshire Unitary Authority covering Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands; and
ii. (ii) a South Staffordshire Unitary Authority covering Stafford, East Staffordshire, Cannock Chase, Lichfield, Tamworth and South Staffordshire;
b) the existing county, city, district and borough councils within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are expected to be abolished and replaced by the new unitary authorities with effect from the relevant vesting date established by law, currently anticipated to be April 2028;
c) secondary legislation and transitional arrangements will be implemented by Government to give effect to the reorganisation; and
d) this Agreement may require transfer, assignment, novation or variation to give effect to the local government reorganisation and any statutory requirements arising from it.
