Published award criteria (2)
- Quality: 70%
- Price: 30%
- Suitability
as stated in the procurement documents
- Price carries 30 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 3 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
- “Personal Safety Device Framework” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 1 suppliers, not a single contract.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

- Change Extension of six months, Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: Due to mobile phone networks ceasing to offer 2G and 3G, there is likely to be an impact on personal safety devices which rely on 2G and 3G. Although 4G devices are available, 4G is still not reliable across all parts of Suffolk and the UK, so will require a solution to ensure no loss of signal and service. To thoroughly assess the geographical impact of 2G and 4G availability in Suffolk of bidders solutions for the new Framework, a six month extension is required to the current Framework.
