Published sub-criteria (3)
- Quality: 40%
- Value for Money: 40%
- Social Value: 20%
Published award criteria (3)
- Quality: The Contracting Authority will evaluate Tenders as to the proposed method for delivery of the Contract including: Overall approach proposed for delivering the Contract, including relevant experience of delivering similar contracts (relating to questions AQ3); Proposed arrangements for supplying and delivering the products in line with the specification, including quality assurance, allergen management and complaints procedure (relating to questions AQ4 to AQ6).
- Value for Money: The Contracting Authority will evaluate Tenders on the basis of overall value for money. This will include an assessment of pricing for frequently purchased items, as set out in the Pricing Schedule (Schedule C). Suppliers shall provide unit prices for the items listed. These prices will be multiplied by the indicative annual volumes stated in the Pricing Schedule to calculate an evaluated annual cost, which will be used for price scoring purposes.
- Social Value: The allocated weightings for social value are: Section 1 - Tackling Inequality, Supporting Local Communities, And Putting People at the Heart of Everything We Do (4%) Section 2 - Investing In Our Local Economy (8%) Section 3 - Working Together for a Better and Greener Future (8%) Tenderers should refer to the Social Value Toolkit (Schedule D) for further information on how this will be scored.
- Price carries 40 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 4 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
- “Provision and Distribution of Bread and Baked Goods” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 2 suppliers, not a single contract, and call-offs are awarded directly: getting appointed is the whole game.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
