Published requirement description

The contract allows for key fleet replacements to support BCP front line services. BCP

Council currently operates zero emission vehicles (i.e. electric (EV) or hydrogen) in the RCV

fleet.

BCP Councils fleet strategy for this procurement is to purchase and not lease.

The contract provides for a 7.5 tonne RCV & 8.5 tonne RCV. Quantities are estimated as follows:

  • Initial – 3 (no.) 7.5 tonne RCV
  • Initial – 1 (no.) 8.5 tonne RCV

Subsequent –2 (no.) 7.5 tonne and 1 (no.) 8.5 tonne which may be ordered as either diesel fuelled and/or zero emission (i.e. electric (EV) or hydrogen).

What it takes to win
i

How this buyer will score bids.

The evaluation criteria and weights exactly as published on the notice, grouped by family (price, quality, social value and so on).

Evaluation split and conditions of participation as published; the tender pack may add more
How bids were scored

Lots publish different evaluation splits; there is no single procedure weighting.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 40 points on every lot: a 10% discount moves about 4 points.
  • “Refuse Collection Vehicles 7.5t & 8.5t” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 1 suppliers, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
