Lots and requirements (2)Procurement structure

2 lots · all with a published value · win at most 6 of them · evaluation weights differ by lot

Every one of these 2 lots carries the same published figure, £3,000,000: it is the framework's maximum for the whole notice, not each lot's own budget, and no share per lot is published. The cards below say ceiling above rather than repeat it.

Lot #1Main - 110m kWhRenewalceiling above

For Lot 1 all procurement decisions (i.e. time to market) are made by Manchester City Council directly. Any schools / associated sites that are within these Lot(s) have already given Manchester City Council delegated authority to act on their behalf.

Delivery: North West
Extensions: Option to Extend for 36 monthsVariant bids: not allowed
Lot #2Non-mainstream independent supplies - 24m kWhRenewalceiling above

Lot 2 is for autonomous bodies that make procurement decisions independently of MCC. They use Manchester City Council to facilitate their competitive procurement exercises but will ultimately contract directly with the supplier and be the ultimate decision maker.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 40 points on every lot: a 10% discount moves about 4 points.
  • “TC473 Supply of Gas” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
