Published requirement descriptionTransport UK Holdings Limited (TUK) have undertaken a group procurement exercise to explore the benefits of aggregating it's mains metered electricity and natural gas volumes for Transport UK East Anglia Limited, Transport UK East Midlands Limited and West Midlands Trains Limited (TOCs).
TUK have not directly entered into supply contracts and the legal entities for the resultant contract(s) awarded are the following TUK owned TOCs:
- Transport UK East Anglia Limited
- Transport UK East Midlands Limited
- West Midlands Trains Limited
The Contract durations are all for a period of 12-months commencing 1st April 2024.

No tenders or no suitable tenders/requests to participate in response to a procedure with prior call for competition
- Published justification
A Contract Notice was published Ref:2024/S 000-002817 dated 26th January 2024 requiring this procurement to be undertake under Regulation 45 (Open Procedure) of the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016.
For each of the Lots tendered, tenders were received from Economic Operators and evaluated in accordance with the tender documents.
During the standstill period all successful Economic Operators withdrew their tenders on the basis of wholesale energy price movements.
Regulation 50, use of the negotiated procedure without prior call for competition, was then utilised as it was deemed that no suitable tenders had been received.
