Published requirement description

This Framework will be the primary source for specialist surfacing works – footway slurry surfacing, retexturing of existing carriageways (including any lining) and high friction surfacing (including any lining) - but will be an alternative source for road markings alone (including studding), which may include stand-alone lining schemes or a ‘top up’ to an existing in-house provision for ad hoc works.

The geographical scope of this Framework Contract is North and West Yorkshire and covers the locations associated with NYCC and other Yorkshire Highways Alliance (YHA) members (i.e. Leeds City Council, Wakefield Council, Kirklees Council, City of York Council, and Calderdale Council).

CPV: Construction, foundation and surface works for highways, roads · Road-surface painting work · Surface work for footpaths · Surface work for highways · Surface work for roads

Published award criteria (2)
  • Quality: 30
  • Price: 70
What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 70 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 7 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “Specialist Surfacing Works and Road Markings Framework (NY Highways)” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
