Published requirement description

Bassetlaw District Council is seeking tenders to appoint the services of suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide a supplemental Programmed, Planned and Responsive repairs service.

Tenderers shall be deemed to have submitted their rates with a full understanding of the nature of the scope and volume of work and will not be entitled to claim for loss of profit, or any other costs resulting from an alteration in the scope or volume.

The Council will award the Contract(s) commencing approximately 4 weeks after tender submission with a contract end date of 31st March 2025. The Council reserves the right to offer an extension of the Contract for a further year pending agreements with all parties to the Contract.

Subject to suitability, the Council is seeking to appoint up to 4 Contractors for this contract. The highest scoring tenderer(s) in each Section will become the preferred ‘default’ contractor(s) for those works with the remaining contractors being awarded works if conditions exist where the default contractor(s) becomes unable to undertake the works for whatever reason.

The Contractor will operate under the conditions of the JCT Measured Term Contract 2016.

Published award criteria (2)
  • Quality: 40
  • Price: 60
What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “BDC 5650 Planned & Responsive Repair Works in Bassetlaw District” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
