Launceston Town Council purchased a former bank and is converting it to an in-town library hub. The initial stage of the project was completed earlier this year and now all necessary permissions and consents, are in place with Cornwall Council.
This next stage is to move the project forward by undertaking the work as specified in the above-mentioned permissions. Information about these permissions may be found in the attached document. (Word/pdf)
The new Library Hub is located in the former Barclays Bank, 6 Broad Street Launceston Cornwall PL15 8AF.
This tender stage falls into 2 parts beginning with Expressions of Interest. The criteria for suppliers to progress to the full tender stage are contained within the attached document 'Phase 2 EOI(2) Launceston Library Hub'

Lot awarding rule: The evaluation will be judged against the following criteria, as well as completion of the business questionnaire at the end of the attached document. Failing the business questionnaire will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. Selection Criteria: The expressions of interest will be scored against the following criteria: Proven experience - Undertaking of design and conversion of buildings Experience of Public Consultation Financial Capability Proven experience to supply and oversee all works undertaken Evidence of excellent Health & Safety Availability to complete full tender by 05/09/2025 Business Questionnaire Commitment to Accessibility
